In a spirited show of solidarity, Hon. Apunu Henry and his dedicated supporters warmly welcomed the Udu PDP Campaign Council during the official flag presentation ceremony. Held at the Ovwian Community Town Hall, Ovwian Community, Udu LGA, on June 17, 2024, this event marked a significant milestone in Hon. Henry Apunu’s campaign as he seeks re-election for the Udu Dsiec Ward 10, Ovwian Community Councillorship position.

Hon. Apunu Henry expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his constituent for their unwavering confidence in his ability to represent them in the Udu Legislative Arm. He promised to do MORE and deliver quality representation that aligns with the needs and expectations of the Community.

During his speech, immediately after the flag presentation by Hon. Evang David Siloko, Udu PDP Chairman, Hon. Apunu Henry emphasized his extraordinary support for Hon. Chief Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode, JP FCIA, the Udu PDP Chairmanship Candidate. Describing Olorogun Oyibode as a unifying force, Hon. Apunu highlighted the widespread acceptance he has garnered across Udu Local Government Area. Oyibode’s extensive experience promises significant benefits for Udu people. Hon. Apunu Henry also rallied support for Oyibode’s running mate, Hon. Mrs. Omovie – Oputu Najite Omojevwe, and all 20 PDP Councilors in the upcoming Council Election.

The Udu PDP members enthusiasm and commitment are palpable as they gear up for the July 13th elections. Hon. Apunu Henry stands at the forefront, promising a future of quality leadership and development for Udu Dsiec Ward 10, Ovwian Community.

First-Term Achievements:

During his initial term as Councilor, Hon. Apunu Henry spearheaded several impactful projects in Ovwian Community:

• Water Projects:

Implemented clean water projects in the Ovwian Junction area and Uduvwoyara Quarter, ensuring essential access to safe water for residents.

• Road Rehabilitation and Gutter Construction:

Successfully repaired a failed section of the Ovwian main road and improved gutters along the same route, enhancing infrastructure and safety.

• Street Lights:

Facilitated the installation of street lights in Ekrata Quarters, enhancing visibility and community security.

• Community Hall Upgrade:

Recognizing the importance of Community spaces, Hon. Apunu Henry replaced the old, dilapidated door of Ekrata hall with a new one.

If re-elected, Hon. Apunu Henry pledges to do even MORE for Ovwian Community. His collaboration with Olorogun Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode, the Udu PDP Chairmanship Candidate, aims to bring Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE AGENDA Initiative to the Community.
